Our road is called Secret Springs Road.  Need I say more?  It’s a beautiful piece of heaven that sits high atop a hill (a very windy hill).  We enjoy the company of cows, horses, dogs, and the occasional coyote or wild hog.  We chose this life and although sometimes it brings inconveniences, it’s a way of life that we appreciate and want for our family.  Clay County pride runs deep around here—I’m no exception.  When my father-in-law comes to visit, he always says I look like I’m campaigning for mayor when we go out.  It would be unusual to go to the grocery store and NOT see someone that you know.  It’s a different life than Plano, Texas where Derek and I started.  It’s not for everyone, but no doubt, it’s for me.
